Bonnie and Clyde committed a series of murders and robberies from 1932-1934. Their crime spree spread throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Louisiana, and New Mexico. Driving from state to state robbing grocery stores and gas stations. The couple frequently stole cars and changed license plates to escape the law. Avoiding the law for 2 years Bonnie and Clyde were responsible for 13 murders. All of these events made Bonnie and Clyde famous.

  • Having been on the run for two years Bonnie and Clyde decided to make a trip back home to visit family.
  • Knowing this the police set up an ambush along the highway.
  • When the policemen saw the couples car they opened fire. Shooting 130 bullets in to the car. This killed them both.

During their two years on the run Bonnie and Clyde took 13 lives and robbed multiple stores. They had a major impact on the way the police worked in the 1920s. The FBI had to change the way they conducted their investigation. Bonnie and Clyde are an example of how hard it was for the police to enforce laws like probation in the Great Gatsby.
