THE JAPANESE TRADITION

What are Bonsai?
Bonsai are trees. They look like regular trees except they are mini.

COMMON TRESS USED FOR BONSAI

  • Pine (needle tress)
  • Maple (broad lead trees)
  • Cherry (fruit trees)

How do they make mini trees?
One of the many ways of creating these trees, is tying the roots of the trees.

Some of these trees are purposely showing signs of death (1/2 dead trunks ect.) this resembles the struggle of a tree in nature

Different styles
Straight (a straight tree)
Slant (slanted tree)
Cascade (falling down the pot in a way)
Forest (multiple trees)
Rock (grows on or through rocks)
