Book making was started after Muhammad died and Muslims need a way to keep there written down facts together. This started bookmaking, a way to bind all of you pieces of paper together into a book.

- The quran was the first written piece of literature
- It is one of the most highly valued pieces of literature in islam
- Other pieces of literature were written after
- Pieces like "Arabian Nights" that influenced stories like Aladdin
- Romance novels and poetry were also written down
