what it will take to get there?

  • High school Diploma
  • College Degree in Criminal Justice (Bachelors'/Masters Specifically)
  • Be familiar with the borders and be a fluent second language speaker
  • Go through an intense Internship to be familiar with the job
  • Have a passion for it, which is main key importance

Step

be under age 37

  • be a U.S. citizen and resident of the U.S.
  • possess a valid state driver’s license
  • be fluent in Spanish or be able to learn the Spanish language
  • pass a pre-employment fitness test-1, medical examination
  • Go through a background investigation

  • Long hours and physical demands 
  • Surveying suspected areas of illegal crossings 
  • Tracking, gathering physical evidence, checking traffic 
  • Patrolling border cities
  • hot temperatures

the reason i had chosen this career?

  • There are different branches 
  • I thought the job would be more related to what I really wanted to do
  • I wanted to mostly work as an investigator or criminal psychologist
  • I specifically was interested in Human Trafficking
  • I want to help and make more awareness towards it

  • Need a PH.D in Psychology and a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice
  • An internship with government agencies
  • Volunteer work with a relation to what I want to do
  • Have a passion
  • Be focused
