CAUSE of the event

  • Taxes were placed on lead, paper, paint, glass, and tea
  • Were not represented in Parliament but still taxed

Effect of THE EVENT

  • Colonists boycotted British goods
  • Sent letters of protest
  • Then colonists got mad so threw snowballs, sticks, and pieces of ice
  • At some British guards which started the Boston Massacre

BRITISH view of the event

  • A trial later determined that the soldiers were acting in self-defense
  • The British didn't like the engrave in the Boston Gazzette that day
  • The British didn't like the picture, The Bloody Massacre cause
  • There was a dog and a lot of injured colonists in the picture

  • Samuel Adams used the so-called Boston Massacre to increase

  • The Patriots thought that the colonists should have done that just to get

  • They should follow the acts
  • The colonists should't have done that cause they would have got
  • Shot anyway cause the British have guns
