Colonists grew tired of Great Britain's constant taxing
Tea was part of the culture that colonists brought to America
The tax on tea was outrageous and unjust in the colonist's eyes
"No taxation without representation"

British officials were outraged
This was the first destructive act of rebellion
As a response the Coercive acts were instituted

Colonists were even angrier after the coercive acts
It gave them fervor to fight back
