  • The executive branch is headed by the president
  • President and Vice President restricted to only 2 year term
  • The president is elected by the electoral college not the popular vote
  • Main duty is to carry out the laws

  • Judicial branch is headed by the Supreme Court
  • Main duty is to interpret the laws
  • We depend on this branch to protect our rights
  • U.S. districts of court 94 judicial districts
  • Serve for life

  • 2 senators per state, set number
  • 435 seats in house of reps, reps based on population in state
