  • Primarily made of copper and zinc
  • Lead is also added at a concentration around 2%
  • Copper 67%
  • Zinc 33%

1.Brass is an alloy made primarily of copper & zinc. Lead is also commonly added to brass at a
concentration of 2%
2.substantial alloy b/c the main metal atoms are replaced by other metal atoms of similar size
Brass-> 1/3 atoms are replaced with zinc atoms
