The Solntsevskaya gang was founded in the late 1980s by Sergei Mikhailov, a former waiter who had served a prison term for fraud at Solntsevo District of Moscow
The gang has made claims that they have over 9000 members.
Their goal is to enhance their reputation amongst established criminals.
These guys are making money in revenue on drug and human trafficking.
Their rivals are
Chechen mafia, Tambovskaya Bratva
They occupy most part of the world
Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Czech Republic, United States, Israel, United Kingdom, France, Benelux, Spain, South Africa and other parts of Europe, Africa and Australia.
In the 1990s, the Solntsevskaya sent Vyacheslav Ivankov to Brighton Beach, New York City, to take control of the Russian-Jewish mob activities there.
