History of bridge and importance
The truss bridge was first made in 1820 with barley any medal. Only a few iron truss bridges were built in the United States before 1850.This bridge was built for a need cause by the growth of railroads! Bridge builders needed a bridge that could carry 100 ton trains, that shifted weight as it moved.

Truss bridges are one of the oldest types of large bridges in the U.S! Deck T Truss railroad bridges extends over the Erie Canal is one of the many famous Truss Bridges.

Description of bridge!
Truss bridges are made out of wood in many cases. Once the bridge became more popular the truss bridge started to become constructed out of iron and other medals.A lot of the support on truss bridges comes from pieces of metal on top of the bridge.

One of the truss bridges is found in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA, named the Betsy Ross Bridge!

Another truss bridge is found in Kingston, New York,USA, named Kingston-Rhinecliff bridge!

Another Truss Bridge is found in Ravenswood,West Virginia, USA, named the Ravenswood Bridge!

How it was made and what did they use to make it?
-they used stone, wood, steel, and concrete to make the bridge. They also used straight Steele bars, and rigid arms that will extend from both sides of two piers.
-A truss bridge is built by connecting straight elements, with support of pin joints.
