• A vegetarian or vegan lifestyle is gaining popularity. What is the difference in the two terms? Are any of your group members vegetarians or vegans? What reasons do you think are motivating people to eliminate animal products from their diet and from their lives?

• Have you ever heard of the animal rights group PETA? (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) They support these issues too: (1) Banning the sale of animal fur for use in fur coats. (2) Making animal abuse a felony criminal charge. (3) Prohibiting animals being used for entertainment- elephants in circuses, Killer Whales at Sea World. Would you support any of these other animal rights causes? Why? Why Not?
