  • The British Virgin Islands are located next to the US Virgin Islands
  • North America Continent
  • Located in the Atlantic Ocean
  • Latitude: 18.4285 N, 64.6243 W

CULTURE

  • They eat Caribbean food all the time
  • The most popular drink is rum
  • Every island has its own variety of rum

RELIGION

  • Most popular religion is Protestant
  • Wide range of religions
  • 2% have no religious beliefs

HISTORY

  • First sighted by Christopher Columbus in 1493
  • Slavery was ended in 1834 on the Virgin Islands
  • They were and still are good friends with the US Virgin Islands

FLAG

  • The flag was adopted on November 15, 1960
  • Saint Ursula is in the picture with all the candles of her virgin followers
  • The islands got their names from the virgin followers of saint Ursula
  • The governor of the islands has a separate flag

REGION

  • Tropical
  • BVI has a lot of giant boulders
  • Lots of mini rain showers
  • When it's not raining its sunny and warm
