Buddhism history:
The history of Buddhism spans a sixth century B.C. to the the present starting with the birth of Buddha siddhartha Gautama in lumbini,Nepal this makes it one of the oldest religions practiced today . There are over 448 million buddhists.

Siddhartha Gautama was the historical founder of Buddhism .He was born a Kshatriya warrior prince in ancient India.Siddhartha attained enlightenment sitting under a peepal tree.

Basic beliefs:
There are four noble truths believed by Buddhists.Dukha which is existence and suffering.Trishna,meaning suffering has a cause,namely craving and attachment.Rupa which is your first form.Vedana which is material existence

- Fig tree is revered in Buddhism because it was under a fig tree that Buddha got enlightened
