FORMED OF SEPTEMBER 21, 1866 AT FORT LEAVENWORTH KANSAS
why they are who they are
- Many reasons why they were called the Buffalo Solider
- Their curly hair resembled that of a buffalo
- Their brave nature resembled that of a buffalo
- They wore buffalo hide coats in the winter
