The running of the bulls started in the 14th century.
During the running of the bulls, the bulls are led through the streets.
Now it happens from the 7th to the 14th of July. It happens in in the region of Irunea and Pamplona. The running of the bulls was meant to get the bulls from the out side of the city to the bull ring. It starts at eight o'clock in the morning after the launching of two rockets. The bulls then charge behind the runners for 825 meters. The run usually lasts 3-4 minutes although it has sometimes taken 10 minutes, especially if one of the bulls get separated from the group.
