BEHIND A GIRL

• Behind a girl there is anger
• Behind a brave face there are lies
• Behind her smile there is sorrow
• Behind her lip gloss there is fear

• She smokes and drinks
• Thinking all her worries will go away
• They never do

• She knows they all talk about her
• She feels their eyes piercing vicious holes through her body
• A scar she can never get rid of

• Sometimes she wishes to be dead
• She wonders why her

• Look what they have done
• A sad heart, sad life, sad girl
• Pretending to be happy

• She's not ready to fight
• She wants everything to be over
• She survives another day

• Did I gain weight?
• Why can't I be normal?

• She's taunted and beaten by others

• She has finally given up after all those years
