COACH

  • Coach started off as only a mentor to Eddie.
  • Over the years, coach and Eddie have grown to become close friends.
  • Their friendship dates back to when Eddie was a child.

  • Eddies relationship with coach has always been strong.
  • Coach continues to serve as a mentor to Eddie.
  • Over the years, coach has grown from only being a mentor to also becoming a friend.
  • The friendship between coach and Eddie is good because coach is always there to help when Eddie is in need.

COACH

  • "You really want to go away?" He asked me, though his attention was on two kids shouting at each other near
  • the swings. (Soto 89)
  • " you though about maybe the service?" I pictures josé in his uniform, first standing straight as a birthday

JOSE

  • José is Eddies childhood friend.
  • Eddie and josé first meet during middle school.
  • Eddie looks up to josé, joining him to serve in the military.

JOSE

  • Eddies relationship with josé has been good, even through the distance.
  • Their relationship has not really changed through Jose's absence.
  • Their friendship is good because josé inspires Eddie to do honest work.

JOSE

  • " you know, homes," josé said as we moved over the bumpy tracks to the west side. " you know, I won't be eating any Mexican food for a long time." (Soto 59)
  • " Yeah, once you're dead, you're dead," I said of my poor cousin. "De Veras. I saw some films in boot camp. Stuff the public never sees?" (Soto 60)

AUNT DOLORES

  • Aunt Dolores is Eddies aunt.
  • Aunt Dolores is trying to get Eddie to kill the person who took the life of her son.
  • Aunt Dolores and Eddie are family members and they have been close since he was a toddler.

AUNT DOLORES

  • Aunt Dolores and eddie are pretty close.
  • It changed when eddies father had passed away and eddies mother was absent. Their relationship was stronger.
  • Their relationship is evil because she is pressuring him to do a crime.
