BURMESE PYTHON

SIZE

  • 16-23 feet (5-7m)
  • 200 pounds (90) kilograms
  • Is big as a telephone pole

PATTERN

  • Dark colored snakes
  • Many brown blotches
  • Black down the back

DIET

  • Since they are one of the most largest snakes they can feed on large prey.
  • They eat birds and mammals, they may eat some snakes (if they have to)

PREY

  • It sinks it's teeth into the pray
  • Then wraps it's tail around it

VENOM

  • Are not poisonous
  • It's bite is very painful

EGGS

  • Lays out 12-36 eggs in March or April

SHAPE

  • Has heat pits
  • Head- arrow shape mark present on posterior side of head
  • Eyes have vert avail pupils
  • Tounge- pinkish red or purplish with brown spots
  • Has a arrowhead shape

WHERE IT LIVES

  • It lives in South Florida
  • Brought in from South East Asia
  • Over 200 there

  • 112,00 have been imported to the U.S. Since 1990
  • They are in Florida
