DESCRIPTION
- First degree burn affects the outer layer of the skin.
- Injury is just to your epidermis.

TREATMENT
- You can treat most first degree burns at home.
- Place a cool compress over to relieve the pain and swelling.
NOT TO DO PROCEDURES
- Do not breathe, cough, or blow on the burn.
- Do not disturb blistered or dead skin.
- Do not remove clothing that is stuck to the skin.
- Do not place a severe burn in cold water.
