APPLY

  • Relate your argument to an industry or business
  • Arguments based on context of the question
  • Ensure your case studies/data are relevant
  • Use a range of relevant sources
  • Use cases where you can compare and contrast

ANALYSE

  • Use relevant theory
  • Select information from sources
  • Build up a developed argument
  • Analyse cause and effect
  • Examine all key issues in the question

EVALUATE

  • Use evaluation throughout the answer
  • Especially in the concluding paragraphs
  • Address the specific question
  • Make a judgement built on your arguments
  • Pull everything together in a clear conclusion

TOP TIPS - PART 1

  • Avoid cliches
  • Don't make too many points in one paragraph
  • Don't assume examiner knowledge
  • Dig into the examples doe addiotnal research of your own
  • Read the question at least twice

  • Set the scene in your introuduction don't rush in
  • Think about the examples/case studies you will use are they relevant
  • Avoid default analysis, everything ending in sucess or failure, profit or loss
  • Underpin all your points with theory and examples
  • Make sure your final paragpraph is evaluative and 'chunky'
