CALIFORNIAN INDIANS

COURTNEY,DOMINIC,AND HAILEY

Tolowa, Shasta, Karok, Yurok Hupa Whilikut, Chilula, Chimarike and Wiyot tribes.

Climate:
It's not Hot and Not freezing. There are beaches. They survived it by not wearing a lot of clothes.

Clothing:
Because of climate they didn't wear a lot of clothes. Woman wear short skirts and men usually don't wear anything. Most of it was made of animal skin.

FOOD

  • Acorns- they were very big in their culture
  • Meat
  • Sea food
  • Moose
  • Elk

They built villages and lived in large groups. They lived in houses that are dome like roofs.

Roles:
Men hunted food and brought it to the tribes and woman collected Plants for the tribe.

Culture:
They liked salt and drying foods. They also had feasts. They all spoke many different languages. They used unique baskets to collect things.
