  • John led the reformation church.
  • This began around 1541.
  • The church is located at Geneva,Switzerland.

  • People depended on god to get salvation from him.
  • Good behavior showed that a person was elected for salvation.
  • Good behavior honored god.

The Protestant Reformation

  • German Priest, Martin Luther
  • The church was not acting proper
  • The Priest was focused into political things instead of the church
  • The clergy sold indulgences,which were a "free ticket" to heaven.
  • The clergy of the church forgot the basic rule.

Authority

  • Anyone who sins commits a crime
  • A Lawbreaker was punished by the clergy 
  • Like Lutherens,Calvinists thought the bible was the only source of Guidanc
  • Calvinists believed all would go with what the bible had written.
