HISTORY

  • Cambodia has a constitutional monarchy.
  • French, English, and Khmer (their official language ) are all spoken in Cambodia.
  • On November 9, they celebrate the day they gained independence from France.

In 2014, it was last recorded that Cambodia's GDP (gross domestic product) was 16.71 billion US dollars.

The reason Cambodia is a less developed country is because of their high corruption rates, many dictatorships, wars, low wages, and liberal government policies on businesses.

In 2012, the life expectancy of people in Cambodia was 71.41 years. In the region, out of 1,000 babies only 97-141 babies live.
