THE CAMEL

ADAPTATION 1

  • The Camel is located in the Señora Desert in Africa.
  • The camel has two long eyelashes to protect from blowing dust winds from getting into their eyes.

ADAPTATION 2

  • The Camel has a big hump and many people believe that is there to cary people and good
  • However, the big hump is used to store fat because camels sometimes go several days without food or water so the fat is there so the camels digestive system is full

ADAPTATION 3

  • All camels have thick leathery patches on their kneels.
  • They have these so their kneels don't burn off when they squat down.

ADAPTATION 4

  • Camels have thick fur and under wool.
  • This feature is there to keep the camel warm on cold days in the desert.

ADAPTATION 5

  • Camels are able to Cary loads of people and goods due to their strong legs.
  • Camels have long legs to keep it's body further away from the hot sand.
