- 1774: Quebec Act - Canada included Ohio and Mississipi rivers
- 1867 British North America Act - Ratified in UK - Establishes aDominion: Upper and Lower Canada (ON & QC), NB andNS
- 1982: Patriation through Canada Act and Constitution Act (includes Charter of Rights and Freedoms) - UK and Canada in both official languages. All but Québec.

- Includes 1867 and 1982 Acts, as well as Charter of Rights and Freedoms, processes and amendments.

1775

Objective: Gaining control of the Province of Québec

Result: US captured St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and marched on Montréal. Montgomery then met with Arnold and Livingston before the walls of Québec City, where they were defeated on 31 Dec, mainly due to bad weather and logistical difficulties.

1812 - 1814

Objective: Annexing Canada - Expansionism for security motives
- Québec was to be a walk in the park

Result: US did not manage to invade and encountered severe losses.
Logistics again played a major role.
