1. Phrases are like sentences. There is a noun, a verb and an adjective or adverb.
2. Each Phrase has a beginning, middle and an end. An opening shape to begin, an action to be accomplished, a dynamic to clarify and an intent to inspire or motivate.
3. Movements combine to make a phrase. Phrases develop intents by repetitions, variations, changing directions or facings, rhythms, dynamics and sequencing.

CONTINUITY

  • Of intent and purpose
  • Dynamically balanced shapes
  • Movement shapes flowing smoothly throughout
  • Consistency of focus and objectives
  • The dog and the human expressing the joy of their relationship
  • Involving and maintaining spectator interest
Phrases and choreography have beginnings, middles and ends. Each part is connected with a transitional set of movements to maintain the easy smooth flow of the choreography to maintain spectator interest and to prevent confusion and chaos as in kitchen sink choreography.
