PRESENTATION OUTLINE

CANYONS

BY: GARY PAULSEN DONE BY: RANDY MCCOY

CANYON RELATES TO HATCHET BECAUSE

  • 1)It tells of a story about a teenage boy who becomes
  • A man by surviving in the wilderness.
  • 2)Both Brennan and Brian see things in a different way
  • At the end of the story.
  • 3) both boy's mothers are without a husband.

SETTING

  • 1850s, Present day, the Apache camp,
  • Dog Canyon, El Paso, Homsley's house,
  • Brennan's House, the desert, and Cardiff School.
  • It has an impact on the story because if the setting was
  • In the forest and not in the desert the challenges for Brennan might be easier
