CAPE PORCUPINE
By: Sarah Charles
2.
QUILLS
The cape porcupine has quills
that go down its back. They use
the spikes to make themselves
seem bigger in the presence of
larger animals.
3.
CLAWS
The claws on the cape porcupine
make it easier for them to dig
and walk on a difficult terrain.
4.
SHORT AND SMALL
The height and length of the
cape porcupine makes it easy
for them to hide in small places.
5.
DARK FUR
The cape porcupine's dark fur
helps it hide in the shadows of
rocks, trees, and other large
objects. It is used as camouflage.
6.
EYESIGHT
The cape porcupine is nocturnal,
and with that, it has to have good
eyesight in the dark. The porcupine
uses it's eyesight in the dark to
navigate the place it is in.
