PRESENTATION OUTLINE

My Career

My career is a professional premier league soccer player. The premier league is a soccer league based in England with 20 teams.

Why am I insterested in this career?

Because I've been playing soccer my entire life. I have wanted to be a soccer player professionally since I was about 7 years old. My family has taught me a lot, mostly my brother and them and my trainers and coaches have brought me to where I am.

EDUCATION (UF)

  • Scholarship required
  • 4.35 GPA
  • SAT-270
  • ACT-26

EDUCATION (CLEMSON)

  • Scholarship required
  • 3.02 GPA
  • SAT 270
  • ACT 26

UNWEIGHTED GPA

  • Unweighted - Unweighted GPA is the most common way to measure academic performance in high school. Unweighted GPAs are measured on a scale of 0 to 4.0 and do not take the difficulty of your courses into account.

WEIGHTED GPA

  • A weighted GPA is a GPA that takes the difficult of your classes into account along with your grades. On a typical unweighted scale (which is solely based on grades and not on the difficulty of your classes), GPA's range from 0-4.0

Requirement

You must be scouted to get into college.

COMPENSATION

  • Starting salary is around $500,000 depending on the player.
  • Median salary is around $2.3 million.
  • You would have to move somewhere in England to play in the premier league. (London to play for Chelsea.)

DAY-TO-DAY ASPECTS

  • The uniform will depend on the team you play for.
  • Usually it's training once a day for about 90 minutes a session. Maybe there's a bit of gym work on top of that for another hour depending on the game. They also get the day off after a game to recover and shorter sessions the day before too.
  • You would use a lot of different kinds of sports equipment, although you would definitely need cleats and a soccer ball though. Based on how the game hasn't changed in at least 50 years, I'd imagine it wouldn't change within 6 years. If you're experienced with the sport, it shouldn't be difficult to LEARN. It will almost always be difficult if you are versing a hard team.

OUTLOOK

  • There are 220 premier league starting players
  • The sport will most likely increase in the amount of players and even fans. There may be more English teams that are created. To find a future job shouldn't be too hard if you had gone to school. Especially if you're famous.

PERKS

  • I get to do what I love most
  • The job will not be that stressful
  • It is amazing to see all of the great players you play against.

FUTURE

Yes, it would be amazing to have this dream job, although it will be very unlikely, I will put in all the work I can to get as far as I can as an individual player.
