  • 150 semester credits from college or university to take CPA exam.
  • Minimum of a bachelors degree.
  • You have to have a certain number of business and accounting credits.
  • There are multiple positions for this such as staff auditor, tax staff, senior auditor, or a management services.

SALARY & JOB DUTIES

  • Duties on the job would be bookkeeping, taxes, financial planning, government audits
  • The national average salary for a CPA accountant is 43,316, and local average is 52,683

OUTLOOK ON THE JOB & ADVANCED OPPURTUNITIES

  • There are on average 629 jobs opening per year in Michigan for Accountants/ CPA accountant.
  • And advancements in this area would be with a bachelors degree you can move into management accounting.
  • Many accountants with a degree and experience move into financing positions.

TECHNOLOGY, PERSONAL TRAITS, AND JOB OPTIONS.
