Carls mo never recorded the date of his birth, remembering only that he had been born on a Wednesday. The only hint Carl had was that he was born eight days before the feast of ascension, which occurs 40 days before Easter. At 13 Carl would go on to solve the puzzle of his birthday by age 13.
Gauss was a child prodigy, he would on average be 5 to 6 years ahead of his classmates academic wise. By the age of 15 his classroom abilities attracted the attention of many universities throughout Germany.
While in school Gauss discovered a construction of the heptadecagon. He also furthered advanced the modular arithmetic, greatly simplifying the manipulation a in number theory.
Gauss spent many of his last years in the field of astronomy. His partner was Giuseppe Piazzi, whom he helped with many difficult mathematical problems well beyond their age period.
In February 23rd 1855 Carl Gauss died in Gottïgen Germany. His brain was preserved and has been studied at various institutes around the world. Carl was known as a quiet person who worked very hard.
