• Most interesting: Slaves from everywhere were coming to New York
• Strangest: All the buildings in Ellis Island are waterproof
• My favorite: over 1,500,000immigrants passed through Ellis Island

Thousands of people were coming from all over in search of a better life. The government decided to take over the immigration system. Lots if immigrants traveled to Ellis Island. Doctors had to examine the immigrants to make sure they wouldn't spread diseases .
