  • Died August 11, 1919

CARNEGIE STEEL COMPANY

  • Carnegie's company's had steel mills
  • They melted steel down into sheets, bricks, etc.
  • Then later Carnegie sold his business to J.P. Morgan for $480 million
  • $480 million in1901 is equivalent to $13.2 billion today.
