WHAT TYPE OF CATASTROPHIC EVENT HAPPENED?

A Tornado struck waco in 1953.

When, where and how did the catastrophic event occur? What caused it?May 11, 1953, an F5 tornado made a direct hit on Waco. It was caused by a Violently rotating column of air extending from a thunderstorm

What happened during the event to affect human lives? Hundreds of homes and businesses were utterly destroyed, and thousands of cars were damaged or totaled almost 600 people were injured ,and 144 were killed.

Describe the catastrophic event and its characteristics: It was a calm day with no alarm for tornadoes then at 4:00 heavy rain started the at 4:37 a Massive black cyclone touched down and destroyed the city.

How did the environment look before the catastrophic event? The days before had been murky but other than that the plains biome of waco Texas was at its peak with normal weather and normal animal activity. Many would say it was even flourishing

How does the environment look after the catastrophic event? Trees where uprooted and many animals where killed.

DID THE CATASTROPHIC EVENT CAUSE ANY OTHER CATASTROPHIC EVENTS?

No this was a isolated incident

What organisms were present before the event and how were they affected? Humans, livestock, and other native animals

What abiotic factors changed after the catastrophic event? Many buildings where destroyed and so where many natural rock formations

Has the catastrophic event changed biodiversity in that environment? No the biodiversity was unaffected
