PHOTOSYNTHESIS
TO CREATE FOOD AND ENERGY FOR PLANTS AND OTHER ORGANISMS
S.C. Asher
3.
PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Location in cell: chloroplasts
Organism that the process happens in: plant
Reactants: light energy, water and oxygen
Products: carbon dioxide and sugar
4.
SUMMARY:
The chloroplasts absorb light energy from the sun.
The plant also takes water and oxygen from the environment around it.
6 molecules of CO2 and 6 molecules of H2O and energy are combined.
When they are combined they produce carbon dioxide and sugar.
The carbon dioxide and sugar are used for food and energy for the plant.
