Cell investigations

By danielle borchardt

1st claim/ 1st evidence

  • You can distinguish the different types of cells. To start off cells can look like many different shapes like, rods, spheres, and spirals. Some cells have an irregular shape. This supports my claim because to distinguish the different types of cells you have to be able to tell their differences by there shape.
  • This is from cells by Marina Cohen on page 11

1st Claim/ 2nd evidence

  • Each cell takes responsibility for a different job and a different shape. This also supports my claim because to distinguish the different types of cells you need to know their shape and job.
  • This is from cells by Marina Cohen page 36

1st Claim/3rd evidence

  • My last piece of evidence, when i looked at 3 different types of cells i could distinguish them because of their different shape, size and looks. This supports my claim because all cells have different characteristics to tell each of them different.
  • This is from what i observed in class

1st Claim/ conclusion

  • Based on everything i have provided you can distinguish the different types of cells.

These are cheek cells

2nd claim/ 1st evidence

  • Living things are made of cells.First of all, each cell is a living thing and has it's own life cycle. They reproduce and die. A human is a multi-celled creature, and in humans several millions cells die each day. This supports my claim because all living things die at some point and in humans millions of cells die each day.
  • this is from cells by Marina cohen on page 28

2nd claim/ 2nd evidence

  • My second piece of evidence is I looked at cells that came from my cheek. This supports that because my claim because the cells from my cheek are living because they came from me which i'm living.
  • This is from class evidence

2nd claim/ 3rd evidence

  • my last piece of evidence is when i looked at 3 different types of cells i could distinguish them because of their different shape size and looks. This supports my claim because all cells have different characteristics to tell each of them appart.
  • Class evidence

2nd claim/ conclusion

  • Based on everything i have provided you can distinguish the different types of cells

These are leaf cells

3rd claim/ 1st evidence

  • There are different types of cells. To start off all cells can be classified in two groups, prokaryotic and Eukaryotic. Prokaryotic are small and Eukaryotic cells are larger. This supports my claim because the two groups different types of cells can be classified in Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic.
  • From a website called wisegeekhealth.com

3rd claim/ 2nd evidence

  • second of all the simplest type of cell is prokaryotic and it was most likely the first type of cell formed on earth. This helps my claim because if that was the first basic cell on earth that means there are many more different, complicated cells.
  • From evolution.about.com

3rd claim/3rd evidence

  • My last piece of evidence is I looked at 3 different cells through a microscope. A plant, bacteria, and animal cell. This tells me that there is more than one type of cell.
  • Class evidence

3rd claim/ conclusion

  • In conclusion all of the stated evidence concludes that there are different types of cells.
