Cellulitis is a potentially fatal disease caused by a cut, burn, or insect bite becoming severely infected. It last about 5-14 days long. There are about 200,000 cases each year.

The body system affected is the skin and muscles. But in some cases, it can travel to your bones and blood systems, making it very deadly.
If left untreated, it can travel to your lymph nodes and bloodstream which causes a whole body infection called sepsis.
