From 750 BC to 12 BC, the celts were the most powerful people in central and Northern Europe.
"Celt" comes from the Greek word Keltoi, which means barbarians.

The Celts didn't form a single religious or political unity. They were spread out between the different tribes. There were 374 different celtic deities. They did believe in the afterlife.
