History of CVHS

  • The new CVHS was opened in September, 2002
  • 240,000 square feet
  • Gymnasiums include four full size basketball courts
  • There was seating for 2,200 fans   
Teachers, students, and parents combined their efforts again in 1930 when Central Valley needed a gymnasium for school plays and basketball games. After two teachers drafted plans for the gymnasium, community members raised funds and built the gymnasium, completing it in time for the senior play in December of 1930.

At Central Valley High School there are many clubs/ activities to particapate in. Three things that i would want to be apart of would be softball, D.E.C.A., and do Spanish in the World Language Club.

At Central Valley High School their are many different dances that you can attend. The dances that you can go to are the mixers, homecoming, winter formal, tolo dance and senior prom.

Community Service

Many actions that will be considered as service.
At Central Valley High School, all graduates must serve a total of 5 hours each year. This is a graduation requirement and mandatory to pass Advisory Class. Seniors will not receive their diploma until all Advisory grades are satisfactory for their tenure at CVHS. Some examples of community service are: Food Bank help, helping at church, shoveling an elderly person's driveway (as long as it is not family), Adopt-a-Family Advisory projects at Christmas, CV Carnival, etc.

Anyone can be a Bear Booster! As a Bear Booster you participate in awesome activities. Some of the things that you will do as A Bear Booster are Program Mini Grants,
High School Scholarships,
Jansen’s Door Fund, Spirit Wear Sales, Concession Sales at Athletic/Extracurricular Events, and Rooter Bus Promotions. Being a Bear Booster is super fun, and it helps out your school.
