Cental Valleys New Start

Central Vally was to crowded in the 1950s so the new school was built
1B. -Student population continued to increase during the 1950s, and despite numerous remodeling efforts, Central Valley High School was simply too crowded. With enough space for 800 students, the new Central Valley High School opened in 1956.

Central Valley Activities

  • Sports(basketball,football,golf,tennis,etc.)

2. Bears Basketball-We work to develop the most successful basketball team possible by teaching the correlation between effort and success.

CVHS- Band-Band provides students with well-rounded, whole music education. Self-discipline, teamwork, organization skills and character development are among the many benefits a band program can provide.

Through D.E.C.A. a student learns about, gains skill and experiences the business world. Students planning to seek careers in business and own their own business will want to join D.E.C.A.

Central Valley hosts 5 Dances Every Year!

  • Tolo Dance(where a girl askes a guy to go)
3. Mixer, Homecoming Dance, Winter Formal, Senior Prom, Tolo Dance…Is the Sadie Hawkins dance where a girl asks a guy to go to the dance.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
All graduates of Central Valley High School are required to serve five hours of community service each year.

4. Central Valley High School believes that giving back to the community is very important and wants all students to learn these skills in service learning. All graduates of Central Valley High School are required to serve five hours of community service each year. This is a graduation requirement and mandatory to pass Advisory Class. Students need to complete a Community Service form and have it signed by the organization he/she is working for. This form is turned in to his/her Advisory teacher (seniors turn his/her form in to his/her Senior Seminar teacher.

Bear Booster Club

  • Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of the people we support.
  • We encourage others; don't just stand on the sideline, get engaged!
  • Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of other people!
  • Assistance includes, but is not limited to: Program Mini Grants, High School Scholarships
  • ,Jansen’s Door Fund,Concession Sales at Athletic/Extracurricular Events,etc
At Central Valley Bear Boosters Club we strive to provide daily contribution to the students, staff and families of Central Valley High School.Our volunteer members are a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of skills. Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of the people we support. We encourage others; don't just stand on the sideline, get engaged in your community! As the student and staff support group of Central Valley High School, the Central Valley Bear Boosters Club (CVBBC) works to provide resources and opportunities to its students, staff and families.
