- Cesar Chavez was born on march 31, 1927; died on april 23rd 1923
- Was a farm worker, labor leader, and civil rights activist
- Chavez became known as a civil rights activist
Became the best known Latino American civill rights activist, used aggressive but non-violent tactics
He co-founded the national farm workers association or the united farm workers.. word my nigga
After his death he became a major historical icon for the Latino community
With numerous parks, streets, and schools being named after him.
He worked in the fields until 1952 when he became an organizer for the Latino civil rights group, he urged Mexican Americans to register and vote.
UFW encouraged all Americans to boycott table grapes as a show of support to protest for higher wages
