RAILROAD REGULATIONS

• Goal was to set and limit railroad rates
• Created so the railroad regulations weren't out of control
• Famous incident was when TR won passage of 1906 Hepburn act

PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH

• Goal was for public to be more healthy and be safer
• He created Pure Food and Drug act so everything was always fresh
• Along with the meat inspection act to make sure meat wasn't bad
• Famous incident was when TR denouncer the the muckrakers

RIGHT FOR WOMEN TO VOTE

• Goal was to allow women to vote
• Created so women could have same equal rights
• Famous incident was when Julia Lathrop & Mary Anderson
• ^^ Became the first women in such federal posts

THE PENDELTON ACT

• Goal was there to be more jobs
• Created to make living more fluent
• Allowing qualified individuals to be involved with Gov't
• Instead of just people who got in from knowing someone
