Melting is solid to liquid. You need heat or fire. The molecules of solid is getting weaker because of the heat. The molecules are not packed if there's a fire.
Solidifying is liquid to solid. If you blow a heat the liquid will turn to it's normal form. The molecules will be packed together if you removed the fire or heat.
