FACTS ABOUT MOUNTAINS IN CANADA

  • For a nickname, they were called the rockies
  • The mountains form the continental divide
  • The rockies were formed in the mesozoicand early cenozoic eras
  • The rockies are divided into 5 sections:the Southern Rockies, Middle Rockies, Northern Rockies, the Rocky Mountain system of Canada, and Brooks Range
  • The Rockies are located between the Great Plains on the east

FACTS ABOUT THE RIVER

  • The st. Lawrence river has the united states on one side and canada on the other
  • Length 1,197 km
  • The Saint Lawrence River flows in a roughly north-easterly direction
  • Lake Champlain and the Ottawa, Richelieu, Saguenay, and Saint-François rivers drain into the St. Lawrence.
  • The saint Lawrence River is also known in french(Fleuve Saint-Laurent)

  • Its Watercourse is Niagara River
  • With a vertical drop of more than 165 feet
  • Niagara Falls were formed by glaciers
  • Many tourists visit niagara falls

  • The names of the great lakes spell homes
  • The great lakes names are lake Superior, Huron, Michigan, Ontario and Erie
  • The area of all the Great Lakes is 95,160 square miles
  • The lakes are on the U.S. Canadian border
