Lesson 1- hair, skin, nails

Skin

Performs 3 functions

Keep skin healthy

Wash face, showers, avoid touching face, eat a well balanced diet

Protect yourself from the sun. Body piercing and tattooing can cause infection.

Hair

Healthy hair is a result of healthy diet, regular shampooing, staying away from heat.

Nails

Good care for nails is keeping them trimmed. Reduces the risk of infection under the nail.

Lesson 2- teeth, mouth

Keeping teeth clean

Brushing, flossing, well balanced diet, reduce sugar drinks, regular check ups, mouth guard, and avoid tobacco products.

Tooth/mouth problem

Caused by poor hygiene.
-bad breath
-gum disease
-bad bite
-impacted wisdom teeth

Lesson 3- eyes and ears

Eyes

Eyes are affected if eyes get hurt. Reasons why to wear protective eye gear during sports.
