• Humans must respond to conditions of extreme weather or natural disasters.
• Use renewable resources to conserve non-renewable resources.
• Humans must pursue sustainable development to protect the enviroment.

• Humans must adapt to the climate, physical land forms, vegetation and the natural resources available where they live.
• We must be able to adapt physically and culturally to changing enviromental stresses.
• Humans must acclimatize to a wide range of temperature and humidity, varying the enviromental conditions.

How people have changed the environment.

• Humans use different levels of technologies and cultures to influence how they change the environment.
• We use agriculture as a way to transform landscapes by clearing existing vegetation.
• Urban Growth has also been changed since the earliest civilizations by modifying nature by building towns and cities that aren't near river valleys.

• Humans build dams in order to have more resevoir of the environment.
• Now, humans change the environment to provide energy for our everyday needs.
• Today, society depends on the burning of the non-renewable resource known as fossil fuels, like oil and coal.
