CULTURAL REGION
- the aspects of culture associated with an ethnolinguistic group and territory
- The cultural regions of the United States include ones that are different.
Functional Regions
- a region that retains specific characteristics within an area
- The functional regions of Africa include the Southern Region.
Perceptual Regions
- they way a person views or feels about a region
- The perceptual region of Texas is sometimes "don't they ride horses to school?"
LANGUAGE
- the method of human communication, either spoken or written
- The languages varied in their country.
RELIGION
- the belief in and worship of a god or gods
- Their religion included many specific rituals that they practiced.
GOVERNMENT
- the governing body of a nation, state, or community
- The government was corrupt and their leaders were horrible.
EDUCATION
- the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, esp. at a school
- Their education system was very good; their graduation rate was high too.
CUSTOMS
- a way of thinking, behaving, or doing something that has been used by the people in a particular group
- Their customs were very traditional and they liked to keep it that way.f
