PERCEPTUAL REGION

  • Constructs that reflect human feelings and attitudes about areas.
  • How I see other regions is an example of perceptual region.

MIDDLE EAST

  • The area around the eastern Mediterranean.
  • Is a region that roughly encompasses a majority of Western Asia and Egypt.
  • Iran and Arabia are located in the Middle East.

SUEZ CANAL

  • Ship canal in northeastern Egypt linking the Red Sea with the Mediterranean Sea.
  • The Suez Canal make the distance shorter for a ship.

LATIN AMERICA

  • The parts of North America and South America to the south of the United States.
  • One of the languages spoken in Latin America is the Spanish.

  • Ship canal 40 miles long across the Isthmus of Panama built by the United States.
  • The Panama Canal is located in South America.
