WHO WAS CHARLES PERKINS???
Charles Perkins was a man who campaigned for Aboriginals rights, played professional soccer in England and was an administrator. His mother's name was Arrente and his father's was Kalkadoon. He had 11 brothers and sisters. He married a lady named Eileen Munchenberg and had three children, two girls(Hetti and Rachel) and one son, (Adam.)
Where did Charles live? Where was he born and where did he die?
Charles was born in Alice Springs. He went to St Mary's Church school, St Francis College and attended to Sydney University. He was one of two Aboriginal students at University and he was the first Aboriginals to graduate from University. He travelled to England and train with three powerhouse clubs Manchester United, Liverpool, and he played for Everton. He died in Sydney, 2000 because of kidney failure.
When was Charles Perkins born and when he died?? When did he start to campaign??
He was born on 16 June 1936 and passed away in 2000 from kidney failure. The main start to his campaigning career was when he went on the freedom ride. 30 fellow University students came with him, and they travelled around NSW towns protesting and advertising about the poor conditions of Aboriginal rights.
What did Charles contribute towards Aboriginal rights and what challenges and consequences do he face??
Charles brought national attention to the problems of the Aborigines therefore was presented a position as a National Aboriginal Leader and spokesperson. Although Charles did numerous good thing for Aboriginal rights he faced a lot of discrimination especially through his campaigning and schooling career.
Why did he bother to campaign??
He tried to draw public attention to the poor condition of Aboriginal rights considering Health, education, housing and many more. He advertised on TV with very little money but used the ads very effectively. He also had strong beliefs about his topic, being Aboriginal himself therefore it made it easy for Charles to put his arguments forward.

Charles Perkins was a very persuasive man, convincing many people on how Aboriginals being unjustly treated. He was an amazing public speaker because he not only believed but was connected to the topics he spoke about. He was also a very talented professional soccer player

Yes, because he was very persuasive and stood up for what he believed was right. Also he was very passionate about his beliefs and was super influential. He would also be admired because he was extremely talented at soccer.
