COTTON FIELDS

  • The slaves picked these cotton fields
  • The little kids had to fill one of their shoes with cotton sedeeds

THE MARKET

  • This is the market where they would sell grass baskets and etc. That the slaves made
  • Wew gott to buy and look at many different things here

SMOKE HOUSE

  • This is a smoke house
  • Smoke houses were used to cook the meat
  • And the roof is made in a certain pattern
  • And the wall had different bricks not just ghe same type of brick

SLAVE HOUSE

  • This is where the slaves stayed
  • They were only here to sleep because they wroked from sun up to sun down

JOHN C. CALHOUN

  • This is johns grave
  • He was born on march 18,1732
  • He passed away on march 31, 1850

RAINBOW ROW

  • RAinbow row is made up of many colors
  • It is called rainbow row because ut is only one row of house eith different colors

LOADING DOCK

  • This is the loading dock
  • It was used for ships coming through to get the cotton and ship it for trade

GULLAH SINGER

  • she sang some songs for us and was really good
  • She also told stories about the blsck slave history of SC

END OF TRIP

  • To finish up we all meeted up snd took a pic
  • The trip was fun and really good food was served
  • I would do this again
